Assumption Parish, La., officials on Wednesday released amazing footage taken at a Louisiana swamp that shows a sinkhole swallowing a huge cluster of trees in seconds.
Louisiana said it is suing Texas Brine LLC for the sinkhole officials say was caused by the collapse of a salt dome cavern operated by the company, according to The Times-Picayune.
The sinkhole, which continues to widen, was discovered last August, and is already responsible for dissolving an area around Bayou Corne, the Picayune reports.
